Program Description
Students gain an understanding of the business/marketing principles necessary to start and operate a business. Students will develop an awareness of the opportunities for small business ownership and develop the planning skills needed to open a small business.
- Explore the traits and characteristics of successful entrepreneurship.
- Awareness of knowledge needed in research planning, operations, and regulations affecting small business.
- Strategies of business management and marketing and the economics role of the entrepreneurs in the market system.

DECA is the student leadership organization for marketing students. DECA is an organization that promotes leadership development, service to the community, and vocational understanding.
