Workforce Trends
Employment growth will result from increased hours of programming, but will be offset by laborsaving technology. Numerous openings will result from the need to replace workers who leave the occupation permanently.

In 2010, 3D television is expected to enter the homes of Americans. This new technology will equal the transition from black-and-white to color television.

Nearly 25% of all American households watch TV online. Two-thirds of online TV viewers access programs through streaming video, while 41% choose free downloads.
